It’s a family affair
POORTVIEW - Sunny spring days were welcomed with a family picnic at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.
Families gave the cold weather a send off in style at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden.
Just a day before the official Spring Day, hundreds of families, friends and colleagues made way to the gardens for the annual Kaya FM and KFC Family Day celebrations.
Those in attendance spent quality time in the gardens.
“It’s a nice atmosphere here in the gardens. The past few months have been very cold but it’s better and we are now welcoming spring,” said one attendee, Nkgatho Mokone.
Mokone said he brought his family along so they could spend quality time outdoors.
Another attendee Palesa Skhosana said she came along with her colleagues.
“We just wanted to get to know each other on a social level,” she added.
Entertainment for the day included performances from local jazz and afro-pop singers Judith Sephuma and Moneoa, who kept the audience on the dance floor.
Kaya FM DJs Mo-G and Bob Mabena also entertained the audience.
