Pro bono legal consultations at Clearwater Mall
ROODEPOORT - The attorneys at Leeuwner Maritz Attorneys will dedicate an entire week to help people who are unable to afford a lawyer by offering free consultation.
Leeuwner Maritz Attorneys are hosting a free legal advice initiative at Clearwater Mall from 5 to 11 August.
The firm’s business development manager Nadia Hurter said they wanted to do something for the public, without charging them a cent.
“It is our intention to reach out to the community and we chose to give the public the opportunity to get more knowledgeable about their rights in law in general by visiting our initiative from 5 to 11 August,” Hurter said.
She added that this is not the first time the firm has held such an initiative, as their attorneys were exposed to various legal questions and scenarios that the public normally would expect as being too expensive.
“It gave our litigators the chance to boost their skills by working through experiences that they would not have access to through normal paying work.”
She added that this week will allow any person who has questions or concerns to visit the group and discuss their issues.
“We urge anyone to come and talk to us and we will be able to assist.”
