Her family needs to raise R3.4 million to send her for proton treatment in the United States of America. Medical experts describe the treatment as an advanced radiation therapy which destroys cancer cells while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. Her parents say doctors in South Africa cannot do any surgery on her for fear that she might be paralysed or even die.
