Gambling by Dave Young

JOBURG - A poem about the dangers of gambling.

Please remember, don’t forget,

never gamble or lay a bet

you may win some, but lose a lot.

Go to casinos at your peril

for you’re dicing with the devil.

Take a lotto ticket and you will see

a million losers like you and me.

Casinos offer uncountable jackpots

but these are simply donkey carrots.

Don’t lose your money on the race tracks

‘cos you bet on thoroughbreds or hacks.

Bookmakers make their living

by taking your bets and not by giving.

So if you are looking for some fun

choose an activity for everyone.
