1937 – Disney created the first sound and colour animated feature film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

1967 – The recipient of the first successful human heart transplant in the world, Louis Washkansky, died at the age of 54 in South Africa.

Washkansky died 18 days after the operation from Pneumonia, which was caused by a weakened immune system.

1969 – American singer, actress and record producer Diana Ross made her last television appearance as a member of the female singing group The Supreme on the Ed Sullivan Show.

2012 – Gangnam Style, by South Korean singer Psy became the first video to reach one billion views on YouTube.
