Grade 10 Maragon pupil Megan Perrins will compete in the American Dance Awards in July next year.
The awards are held in Boston, USA. The event’s qualifying rounds were held at Sun City and Perrins’ outstanding performance earned her a place alongside fellow South Africans in representing her country at the event.
Perrins qualified as a junior competitor this year, but had to also compete in the senior section as she will qualify as a senior next year. This year she competed in six events and achieved six gold medals as well as a special award.
In October this year she competed as a senior at the The Acrobatic Festival of South Africa and won the event. J & C Dance Creations of which Perrins is a member, awarded a trophy to her for being the “most outstanding senior acrobatic dancer”.
