Champion coach’s shot put and discus camp

WEST RAND – One of the most successful shot put and discus coaches in South Africa, Pierre Blignaut, is based on the West Rand. He produces top athletes on a yearly basis.

This year his athletes won 54 medals at various national and international competitions and Blignaut accompanied the USSA (University Sports South Africa) team to Kazan, Russia, as part of the coaching staff. He also produced five athletes that competed with various South African teams abroad. From his desire to share his success on the field with other coaches and athletes the Blignaut Throwing Academy’s training camp was born. The aim is for both coach and athlete to attend, in order for both to grow together as the weekend progresses.

Blignaut will be hosting the academy’s third throwing training camp from 6-7 December at Hoërskool Monument in Krugersdorp.
