Networking aids local businesses in working together
A successful business networking breakfast was held at Imbizo at Soli Deo Gloria Boutique in North Riding by 3-Course on 1 November. Members enjoyed a hearty meal while getting to know other business owners in the area.
Guest speaker Allen Harvey gave a motivational speech on how one’s attitude can influence every aspect of life, including business and life fulfilment.
“Your life and everything that influences it, depends on your attitude,” said Harvey. He also played an excerpt video of famous mentor Zig Zigler on the subject of “stinking thinking”. This occurs when your negative thinking influences your life to an unbearable extent. “Counteract this by expressing gratitude. If something makes you unhappy – whether it’s your job, your family, your friends – change the way you look at it by asking yourself what about it you are grateful for. Make a list and add to it every day, you will be surprised by the positive outcome.”
The next, and last, Imbizo of the year will be held on 6 December, also at Soli Deo Gloria Boutique Hotel.
