Trinityhouse Preparatory School, Laerskool Lynnwood, Grey College, Conrwall Hill College, Midstream Collage, Laerskool Helderkruin, Westville Senior Primary School, and St. Dunstan’s Preparatory School all competed in Trinityhouse’s cricket festival, which took place from 12 to 14 September. On 11 September Trinityhouse headmaster Hilton Scott welcomed the seven visiting schools with a cocktail function at The Pavillion at Trinityhouse.

The next morning the three-day cricket festival kicked off.

Fifty matches spanned the festival and at the end of each day time was spent socialising and building team spirit.

Trinityhouse marketer Reneé Everett said there was no winner at the festival as different teams played against one another at different times and a single team could not be singled out.

Headmaster Scott said the crux of the festival was to form friendships on and off the field. “Festivals create fond memories. The festival’s success is not in the competitive nature of the matches. It is in tough times that our character traits are revealed and cricket does the same. All those that have played the wonderful game of cricket will understand this fact very well.”
