OPINION: Baked Fruit Salad

Try this devilishly delicious baked fruit recipe. All you need is star anise, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and of course, your favourite fruits.

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Baking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  1. 1 apple, cored and cut into quarters
  2. 1 pear, cored and cut into quarters
  3. 1 banana, peeled and cut into two strips
  4. 3 guavas, cut into half
  5. 3 tbsp (15ml) soft brown sugar
  6. 2 tbsp (15ml) butter
  7. 2 star snise
  8. 1 large cinnamon stick
  9. ice cream or cream
  10. foil

 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C
  2. Add all the ingredients in an oven pan and cover with foil.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the foil and serve hot with a serving of ice cream or whipped cream.
