Sector 3 crime hotspots

At the recent Sector 3 CPF a number of areas were identified as high-alert zones.

Captain JE Pretorius said in the past month Willowbrook, Poortview, Ambot and Honeydew reported many attempted murder cases, in particular Willowbrook and Ambot, while Honeydew, Strubens Valley, Ruimsig, Little Falls and Radiokop reported the most house robberies.

Brigadier Wayne Sirkhot from the Honeydew Police Station said stolen firearms are being used in robberies at residential homes and business premises.

Colonel Tobie Terblanche implored residents to communicate every detail possible should they witness a crime. “See something, say something,” he said.
