At approximately 4.40pm residents of Wilro Park, Helderkruin, Roodekrans and surrounding areas were left without power due to a bird flying into the power cables on Wilgerood Road.
Technicians from City Power were immediately dispatched and after just over an hour, the power has been restored.
City Power has apologised for the inconvenience caused to residents.
