Christiaan De Wet Road reopened after truck accident

The stretch of Christiaan de Wet Road between Wilhelmina Avenue and Wilgerood Road has been reopened to traffic Monday afternoon. The road had been closed temporarily on Monday morning after a fatal accident involving a delivery truck.

Motorists are asked to please drive carefully as the truck had spilled large amounts of liquid across all three of the road’s lanes. While the spillage has been covered, the road surface my still be slippery.

Drivers are encouraged to please drive the navigate that strip of road with caution as it is an accident hot-spot.
