Help the Ogle Foundation fill empty bellies on Christmas Eve

The Ogle Foundation is hoping to put together as many Christmas Eve food parcels as they can to feed the homeless people on the West Rand.

The festive season is here, and as we all prepare to gather with our loved ones and enjoy the holidays and the joy they bring, the Ogle Foundation is asking the community to spare a thought for those who have nothing.

This non-profit company (NPC) will be spending Christmas Eve driving throughout the West Rand – from Florida, through Krugersdorp and on to Randfontein – donating food to those who don’t have a meal to enjoy at home.

They are hoping to feed as many hungry tummies as they can, and depending on how much the community can help, they are hoping to put together food parcels for between 1 000 and 5 000 people on the West Rand.

To feed as many people as they can, the Foundation is asking for the community’s help with some small donations. The items on their wish list are:

• Help with transport to deliver the food to people in the areas between Florida and Randfontein

• Volunteers to help hand out the parcels

• Hot dog ingredients (viennas or sausages, rolls, butter/ margarine, sauce, and onions)

• Serviettes and take-away containers

• Cold drinks, water, sweets and chips

The Foundation is looking to distribute the parcels from 10am to 3pm on 24 December.

Donations can be dropped off at Integra Motor Group during office hours (30 Ontdekkers Road, on the corner of Corlett Avenue).
