In both incidents three robbers were involved, some of them armed. Apcan Security services arrived on the scene shortly after the incident, closely followed by the Roodepoort Police.

Yorke confirmed that this was an active and ongoing investigation, and that footage of the suspects has been collected. “Police patrollers will be in full force during this festive time, and we want to warn all residents and businesses to stay safe, and pay attention. Criminals park just outside the targeted place and can strike and rob a place in two minutes. Residents need to watch out for suspicions vehicles parked outside or near the residence or business and report them,” Yorke said.

Police confirmed that they are on the lookout for the suspects and the vehicle that was seen leaving the scene.

This is a developing story, and, as soon as more information is received, an update will follow.
