Motorists and residents are urged to be aware of two particularly large potholes causing damage to vehicles in Roodepoort.
There is a large pothole in the right-hand lane of Christiaan de Wet Road heading towards Wilgerood Road. It is directly across from the Sasol garage and is getting bigger and deeper by the day. This pothole can be difficult to avoid if it is seen too late, and could damage your car. The issue has been reported to JRA to be fixed.

Ontdekkers Road is littered with potholes; one that is causing a lot of concern is in the left-hand lane between Mouton Road and Golf Club Terrace. The pothole is very large and is increasing in size constantly. It is also extremely difficult to see when it rains, and motorists have already complained about the damage it has caused to their vehicles.
Motorists are asked to be vigilant when driving, especially when it rains. Potholes are not a rare occurrence, so keep your eyes peeled and drive cautiously.

Remember that the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) cannot fix something that has not been reported, so if there is a pothole or a road-related problem, report the issue and get a reference number so they can fix it. The more people reporting the same issue, the better.
You can report issues to JRA in the following ways:
• Call 0860 562 874
• Email hotline@jra.org.za
• Use the Find and Fix mobile app (with pictures attached)
• Log an issue online at https://www.findandfix.jra.org.za or https://www.jra.org.za.
