Last year’s Annual Jozi Tese Festival event was without doubt a tremendous success; so much so that the organisers of the third edition of the Festival are excited and pleased to announce a brand new date, venue and line-up of the country’s top performing acts for this year.

Presented in partnership with BET, the outdoor lifestyle festival celebrating Johannesburg in all its glory, will make its return at the multi-purpose Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort on Saturday, 30 November 2019.

A must for those looking for a truly cosmopolitan vibe, the eagerly awaited festival will feature tons of activities, ranging from live music to a local artisanal food market.

Festival Director, Tshepo Riba said, “2019 is really an important year for us as we continue to work hard, not only when it comes to developing and growing the Jozi Tese’s broad offering. This year’s top class acts are an indication of our commitment to bringing music lovers and guests nothing but the best that South Africa and the rest of the continent has to offer.”

Bigger and better than ever, the 2019 Jozi Tese festival will feature a live music programme led by Mzansi’s music sensations Samthing Soweto, Sho Madjozi, Holly Rey and Ralf Gum.

The unstoppable Afro-pop music duo, Mafikizolo, and king of the dance music floor, DJ Ganyani, are back by popular demand for the third time.

Commenting on the change of venue for this year festival – from the Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden to the lush green Ruimsig Stadium, Riba said, “While selecting the venue for this festival, we considered a venue that would provide us with excellent facilities, beautiful scenery and tranquil surroundings.”

Tickets range from R150 (children) to R250 (general adults) at Web tickets or selected Pick n Pay outlets. VIP and VVIP tickets cost R1 500 and R2 000 per person respectively.
