Word of the day

The word of the day for 28 October is: Success.

The word of the day for 28 October is: Success.

‘Success’ is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

We all want to achieve success, whether it be in our work or personal lives, but there is a lot that can stand in our way – laziness, fear of failure, no motivation, and not setting goals can all prevent us from achieving success.

There are a lot of different theories on how to achieve success, but they are all centered on the same concept; it is not necessarily the physical outcomes that define success, but your emotional quotient/ the way you react (EQ).

Bo Bennett said, “Success is not what you have but who you are.”

If you are confident enough, curious enough, and determined enough to reach success then you are halfway there. Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) said that success isn’t always about greatness, it is about consistency. If you constantly work hard and are consistent in your efforts, you will reach success and greatness will follow.

To achieve success, our EQ should be just as high as our IQ, if not higher. If we are not emotionally prepared to face failures and shortfalls, and calmly come up with a solution, we will never achieve success.

Charles Swindoll said, “Life is 10 per cent what happens and 90 per cent how you react to it.”
