Checklist for Christmas Activities

Northsider: Terrified of the impending boredom the holiday season brings for your family? Try making a bucket list. Record: Holidays are fun, but there are only so many family events you can attend before the kids say they are bored. The Record is here to help.

Keeping the family entertained during the holidays is not an easy job. One way to make it a whole lot easier, and keep the family busy, is with a bucket list.

Put a bunch of activities down on one list and try to get them all done before the holiday is over, that way no one will ever be bored.

Here are a few ideas to help out:

1 – Mail a letter to Santa

2 – Watch a holiday classic (we recommend Home Alone)

3 – Donate to a toy-drive

4 – Roast marshmallows on the braai for homemade ‘smores’

5 – Make a DIY gift

6 – Host a cookie-baking party

7 – Deliver homemade treats to someone unexpected

8 – Take a family drive to see all the Christmas decorations around town

9 – Have a sleep-over in the lounge with a Christmas bed

10 – Hang mistletoe in every doorway

11 – Open a small gift on Christmas Eve

12 – Volunteer at a charity

13 – Make a playlist of your favourite Christmas songs

14 – Go to a market or fun day

15 – Bake some yummy treats (extras can be used for option 7)
