Hilary Duff is an actress who is most commonly known for her title role in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire.

Hilary Erhard Duff was born on 28 September 1987 in Houston, Texas. She came to fame as the title character in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire, which soon became a film. Another popular role for this star was in A Cinderella Story, released in 2004. With numerous acting credits to her name, specifically in family-friendly movies, Hilary became extremely popular with a pre-teen and teenage audience. A more mature role for her was in TV Land’s hit series Younger.

While she is best known for her acting, Hilary released several pop albums. Her debut album, Metamorphosis, was released in 2003 and went triple platinum.

She has also released her own clothing lines – Stuff by Hilary Duff and Femme for DKNY Jeans.

Hillary has one son with her ex-husband Mike Comrie and explains motherhood as a humbling experience. In June of 2018, two years after her divorce from Comrie, she gave birth to her daughter, Banks Violet Bair. Banks’ father, Matthew Koma and Hilary got engaged in May 2019.

Hilary is heavily involved in charity work. In 2005, she donated $250 000 to help Hurricane Katrina victims. She focuses most of her charitable efforts on organisations that focus on the rights of children and animals.

Two other people who celebrate their birthdays today are Naomi Watts and Frankie Jonas.
