Roodepoort Athletics Club invited other local running clubs to join them for a morning run and a social event on Saturday 21 at the Ampie Barnard tennis courts in Roodepoort.

The run started as early as 6am and runners took on a 10km course, from the clubhouse via Kingfisher Street all the way to CR Swart Road and back to the clubhouse.

Bok fever took over as the kick-off time of the much anticipated clash between the world’s greatest rugby nations came closer.

A bit of fun was created by a score predicting competition for which people had to predict the score and the winner would be the closest score prediction.

However the final score between the Springboks and the All Blacks did not spoil the mood as the club house was filled with laughter and jubilation thereafter.
