A suspect was killed during a business robbery that went wrong in Bram Fischerville on Friday, 16 August.
According to Captain Kay Makhubele, the Provincial Police spokesperson, they caught the group of suspects during a joint intelligence-driven operation, which resulted in the arrest of two other suspects.

“Police conducted a joint operation in conjunction with Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officials on 16 August 2019, during which they intercepted a group of men in Bram Fischerville during a business robbery at a shop. The suspects started shooting at the police and the police returned fire,” said Makhubele.
He said the person that was killed was certified dead on the scene, but the other suspects managed to flee.
“Articles taken during the robbery and the suspects’ getaway car were recovered. Police are still searching for the suspects who ran away from the scene,” he added.
