The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Group Forensic and Investigation Service has issued a warning to motorists to be careful when travelling on Randfontein Road, near Matholesville.
According to the CoJ, illegal miners have stolen the supporting structures to an electricity pylon in the area.

Illegal mining has been a major problem in the area with at least three raids conducted since the beginning of the year.
