ProTouch take on the climbing stages in Portugal
From the moment the race started, the cyclists pushed as hard as they knew how.
On Tuesday, 6 August, ProTouch took on Stage Five of the Volta a Portugal in a 162,59km cycle with 3 306m of vertical elevation from Oliveira do Hospital to Guarda, one of the most important climbing stages, ahead of a much needed rest day.
From the moment the race started, the cyclists pushed as hard as they knew how. Kent Main went into the first breakaway but was brought back quickly. However, the second breakaway was maintained all the way to the finish.
Kent Main and Clint Hendricks finished in the main peloton with Jaydé Julius, Calvin Beneke and James Fourie finishing in the gruppetto.

On Wednesday, 7 August, ProTouch was at it again, taking on a hilly challenge in Stage 6 of the tour, from the Tower of Moncorvo to Bragança.
