Welcome to the team, Amy!

Hello, my name is Amy Slocombe and I am the newest addition to the Roodepoort Record/ Northsider team. I am an exceptionally passionate person, with a high level of energy and a curious mind.

My favourite pastime is listening to music while I draw; but when I’m not doing that, I am reading or writing. Creativity has always been my greatest outlet, writing has given me a voice and art has always been there when words have fallen short.

I am an extremely family orientated person and love to meet new and interesting people.

I am so grateful to Caxton for giving me this opportunity to explore my passion and build a career by doing what I love. I have wanted to pursue a career in journalism for as long as I can remember, and now, my dreams are becoming a reality.
