Arthur Matthews soccer stars ready to shine in China
The school has wished them well in their upcoming journey.
The West Rand flag will be flown high in China, as two learners from Arthur Matthews Primary School will be participating in the Gothia Cup.
Liam van der Ross and Imaad Hendricks, who are Grade 6 learners, will be taking part in what is said to be the largest and most famous international soccer tournament.
“The learners have made us proud to a superlative degree. Both of them excelled as midfielders to such an extent that they have been chosen to go to China for 10 days as of Friday, 9 August. This is indeed a testimony to their passion and dedication,” read the newsletter from the school.
The school has wished them well in their forthcoming journey.
