Feel good, do good

Barber, Abdul-Aziz restored some dignity on Mandela Day

Abdul-Aziz Narkedien, a barber at High Cuts, used his 67 minutes (and more), to help members of the community feel good about themselves again.

Abdul has been a barber for 11 years and has always looked for a way to help others. On 18 July, he spent his day cutting the hair of the homeless and underprivileged at no cost to them.

“Haircuts raise your self-esteem. I believe if you look good, you feel good and then you’ll do good,” he said. He also visits children’s homes where he treats them to the experience of having a professional haircut.

Abdul concluded, “Being able to make a difference in someone’s life, and allowing them to be the best version of themselves is something money cannot buy.”
