Annual Winter Pyjama Run At Roodepoort parkrun

The parkrun organisers thanked everyone who ran in their pyjamas and brought warm clothes and blankets that have been donated to one of our local charities.

Parkrunners showed up in their furry slippers, gowns, onesies and curlers at Len Rutter Park, for the annual Winter Pyjama Run on Saturday, 6 July.

Participants ran and walked for a good cause – donating clothes, blankets, bedding and other items to keep others warm this winter.

The parkrun organisers thanked everyone who ran in their pyjamas and brought warm clothes and blankets that have been donated to one of our local charities.

Gail Buckley, one of the core volunteers who organised the event said, “The event was a success and a lot of people donated a variety of winter items to help our local charities.”

The organisers also thanked the Mercury Athletic Club for their parkrun takeover on the day and the inspiration that was instilled into some of the parkrunners.
