Feed-the-Furry continues to lend a helping hand

"We are grateful for everyone that helps us feed animals in need."

The non-profit organisation, Feed-the-Furry, will be having its fourth drive on Saturday, 22 June, when they will deliver food to animal shelters that are in need.

On Thursday, 20 June, they visited Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory School, where they received donations, which included a valuable voucher to buy food and pet goodies for this month’s drive.

“Thank you to these amazing learners and educators who have made it possible for us to donate food to two shelters this month. We will be doing our fourth food drive, and delivering to Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary. Our next drive will go to Mama Kasi Rural Rescue,” said Celeste Vermeulen, the founder of the organisation.

At their last drive in May, they delivered 361kgs of dog food as well as signage from the sponsor to the 9th Day Rescue Rehabilitation and Rehoming Centre. The signage was installed at the entrance.

Celeste said this organisation, which collects food, blankets, clothing and any second-hand goods for animals, was started because of her love for animals.
