Youth day observed in Mhlangeni

The youth and community of Plot 8, Mhlangeni, in conjunction with the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, as well as the Roodepoort Police, celebrated Youth Day on Saturday, 15 June.

They held an awareness campaign, where 1 000 pamphlets containing information about rape, domestic violence, substance abuse and emergency numbers were distributed.

Youth Day was officially commemorated on Sunday, 16 June which coincided with Father’s Day.
