“It is alleged that at about 2:45pm, the complainant was at home praying with her husband, when suddenly her five-year-old came running into their bedroom, looking very scared. He was followed by an unknown man who threatened him with a firearm. The suspect pulled the trigger several times but the firearm jammed, at which time her husband grabbed the suspect and a scuffle ensued. She said that she heard a gunshot and saw her husband falling to the floor. The suspect then hit the complainant with the firearm and ran away,” she added.
Ross Campbell, the ER24 spokesperson, said the paramedics arrived at the scene to find the man had sustained gunshot wounds to his arm and leg.
