HMC models dominate catwalk and win prizes
All four models won each of their categories
Four of HMC Pageantry Academy’s models from the West Rand took part in the annual Mr and Miss Junior competition, and walked away with some amazing prizes.
All four models won each of their categories. Boipelo Thlabi, Mwila Masongo, Michael Smith and Samuel Ebube Okwuagwu received the following awards:
Boipelo Tlhabi won Miss Mini Teen SA as well as overall junior winner; best in interview; best interview wear; best ramp model; best themed outfit; best evening wear; most photogenic, Miss Congeniality; public choice award (most Facebook likes in her category), and junior charity ambassador.
Mwila Masongo won Miss Jnr SA as well as best in interview; best ramp model; best overall senior female interview; best interview wear, and Miss 7 Continents.
Michael Smith won Mr Jnr SA as well as best in interview, and Mr Jnr Face SA.
Samuel Okwuagwu won Mr Universal SA as well as best interview overall senior male; best overall senior male; best in interview; best ramp model and Mr Universal Face of South Africa
Sasha-Lee Taylor (director and head coach of HMC) as well as Shikirah Roth (Coach at HMC and Miss Teen World 2017) want to congratulate the four winners.
This is the second year that HMC has produced four winners at this national pageant, which is managed by Carolyn Baldwin Botha and includes a series of judging criteria including ramp and interview skills.
All these winners also get the opportunity to represent South Africa at an international competition overseas.
