Urgent announcement: Wild monkey on the loose in Witpoortjie

A wild grey monkey was spotted today, 4 April, at about 2pm in Witpoortjie, close to Bataan Street, heading towards Corlett Avenue.

Residents are urged not to try catch the monkey as it could endanger them. “It is a wild animal and will bite, so please be careful, specifically with your children and small animals ,” said Natalie Swarts, who runs the ‘Witpoortjie Warnings’ WhatsApp group.
