During the early morning hours, before 4am on Friday, 22 March, an as yet unidentified man reportedly entered the back yard of a home in Mindalore before the homeowners had woken up for the day.
The man somehow removed the lock on the gate and then opened it. He entered the premises undetected. A Big Boy motorcycle was then silently pushed out and a short distance down the road.

A neighbour happened to see what was going on, and yelled at the man. He attempted to pursue the thief, but the thief started the motorcycle and drove away. The neighbour then proceeded to wake up the homeowners.
The owners of the motorcycle wish to warn all homeowners, and ask that people take extra precautions to secure their property. In recent months, there has been an increase in similar crimes with this modus operandi. Wherever possible, do not leave any valuables outside, unless they can be secured or locked up. Be aware that simple locks can be broken or opened by experienced criminals within seconds.
