Horison kick-boxers shine at first tournament

Five selected to be part of the Central Gauteng team

 

Kick-boxers from Team Rage competed at their first inter-club tournament recently and did very well.The tournament, which was held in Lenasia, saw kick-boxers from clubs all over Central Gauteng compete, not only for medals but also for the opportunity to be selected as part of the Central Gauteng Team. At the end of the tournament, the kick-boxers brought home a total of 13 medals – six gold, six silver and one bronze.

The following kick-boxers won medals:

• Shaun Lombaard – two gold

• Brandon-Lee Friedlander – one gold and one silver

• Dyllan Opperman – one gold and one bronze

• Nicole le Roux – one gold and one silver

• Cole Langa – one gold

• Jonathan Smit – two silver

• Jaen van Rensburg – two silver

Five club members were also selected as part of the Central Gauteng team – Brandon-Lee Friedlander, Dyllan Opperman, Nicole le Roux, Cole Langa and Mina Lombaard. They will be competing at the South African Championships which will be taking place in Oudtshoorn at the end of April.
