Cansa Shavathon to take place at Silverstar
They will host a shavathon on 8 and 9 March
Community members are invited to support Silverstar’S family-friendly Cansa Shavathon on 8 and 9 March.
The shavathon will take place on The Square from 10am to 7pm on 8 March and 10am to 2pm on 9March, affording all visitors the opportunity to support cancer patients by spraying or shaving their heads.
This year will mark the 16th edition of this event, and the theme is #ColouringHope. The Cansa Shavathon has, over the years, become synonymous with camaraderie, the feel-good factor and most importantly, hope – all in a fun and positive setting.
The aim for this event, is to shave or spray as many people that as possible, to ensure that much needed funds are raised for Cansa’s unique, integrated services and holistic care and support for those affected by cancer.
To participate, a nominal donation of R50 per adult and R25 per child under 12, is all you need.
Local celebrities and influencers will also be adding their support to the cause by bringing their shaving and spraying skills to the Shavathon and even having their heads sprayed or shaved.
