Entries set to open for Kwaito and House Awards

Mondli Mlauza said they will be kicking off their yearly programme for the 4th time in a row in this year.

The organisers of the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards (MKHMA) have confirmed the return of the 4th annual awards ceremony this year.

The awards, that are aimed at recognising hardworking artists in the country, will be making their return to Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, the venue which hosted the awards in November last year.

Mondli Mlauza, the PR and Communications Officer for the awards, said they will be kicking off their yearly programme as they count down to the annual music awards set to take place for the 4th consecutive time this year.

Mlauza indicated that this instalment promises to improve on the previous show. “Having had Sibusiso ‘DJ Sbu’ Leope as the host for the 3rd annual Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards, the organisers promise that the awards will be bigger and better this year, with planned activations around the country, to unearth more talent in South Africa and build relationships with lovers of Kwaito and House Music,” he said.

In addition, he said that the organisers will also launch the much-awaited Kwaito Foundation to assist once-aspiring musicians and dream chasers who have since given up on their dreams.

Lastly, the organisers provided the submission dates for the artists to send their music for nominations.
