The 29-year-old Onke Hartin Mashinini, who stands accused of the kidnapping and murder of three-year-old Liyaqat ‘Lee” Mentoor, will appear in court again on 1 February.
The case was transferred to the Johannesburg High Court during his last appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on 14 December.

It has been more than 10 months since the disappearance of Lee, and Estelle Delport, the family representative, said, “Lee was only three years old when he went missing on 16 March last year, and, until today, we still do not know where he is or what happened to him. All we ask is to receive the answers we are looking for, that will help us to find closure. We just want our baby back!”
