The Roodepoort Police performed stop-and-search operations in and around Roodepoort during the weekend of 25 to 27 January and arrested 20 suspects.
The suspects, aged between 21 and 67 were arrested on various charges, including possession of drugs, theft, shoplifting, common assault (in terms of the Domestic Violence Act 116 of 1998) and reckless and negligent driving.
The suspects were charged and detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
They will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
