Free swimming lessons

An opportunity for those who love swimming but cannot afford swimming lessons to learn how to swim.

Underprivileged learners are invited to join the Learn How to Swim programme.

The Mathole Youth Safety and Development Forum (MYSDF) in conjunction with non-profit organisation Akani officially launched the programme last December.

The programme is free of charge and has so far given an opportunity for those who love swimming but cannot afford swimming lessons to learn how to swim.

The swimming lessons are given at the Roodepoort Swimming Pool. The programme kick-starts on 9 January and will run throughout the first term. On 15 March the programme will host its first-term school-safety holiday programme.

Local residents are also urged to donate towards or sponsor this programme as it is always good to give to those who do not have.
