Wilro Lions receive welcome donation from Pick ‘n Pay

‘This will help us to spread festive cheer at the Have a Heart Care Centre ‘

The Lions Club of Wilro Park received a welcome donation from the management of Pick ‘n Pay The Falls recently.

Sandy van Heerden, the Public Relations Officer for the club, said, “Ambra Jardim, the Customer Care Manager at the store, assisted us with a generous donation of R2 500 gift card.”

She added that this donation was used to ensure the residents at the Have a Heart Care Centre also enjoyed some Christmas cheer, and said, “We used the donation to buy the necessary items for the Christmas lunch we always have at the centre.”

Sandy said that each person also received a Care Package as a gift from the Lions members.

She concluded by thanking Ambra and the staff at Pick ‘n Pay The Falls, and said, “Christmas is about caring and sharing, and, thanks to this generous donation, we were able to share Christmas with those less fortunate than ourselves, and make this time of the year a little more bearable for them.”
