Police in action during 16 Days of Activism

Police stations within the cluster embarked on numerous projects pertaining to the 16 Days of Activism Against Children and Women campaign.

The Johannesburg West Cluster made it its mission to ensure that no children or women suffer any form of abuse by conducting several awareness campaigns.

Police stations within the cluster embarked on numerous projects pertaining to the 16 Days of Activism Against Children and Women campaign, which started on 25 November and concluded on 10 December.

The activities by the police kicked off last month with a huge parade and motorcade at Westgate Mall which was attended by various representatives of government. During the campaign period, police held school talks and visited various shopping centres to exhibit important information regarding crime prevention.

The campaign also yielded positive results leading to a number of arrests and the shutting down of unauthorised businesses such as illegal shebeens.
