Don’t trust everyone who says they’re from City Power

Residents advised not to allow any person onto their property without verification

City Power is warning residents not to allow people onto their property without checking their identities first.

“Resident must learn not to trust everyone who says they are City Power officials. Technician or contractor credentials must be first verified with the City Power’s Risk Control Unit 011 490 7900,” said City Power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena.

City Power technicians and contractors must have an Identity Card displaying their photos, identity verification numbers, an expiry date, and the City Power hologram.
