Vikings’ female boxers ready to rumble
They have all completed their grading successfully.
The women at the Vikings Boxing Academy have been working very hard and will be ready to compete on a whole new level in the coming year.
Phillip du Randt, the club’s head coach, said, “The girls have been training very hard to be able to compete on a challenging level when they climb through the ropes next year. They have all completed their first grading successfully and will now be able to compete against other female boxers of the same grading and classification.”

He added that the club’s female coach, Lulu Schreuder, has also recently completed her coaching exam which she successfully passed on both regional and provincial levels.
“Lulu has a lot of passion for the girls and ensures that they practice very hard. They are making good progress under her coaching, as well as that offered by the other coaches at the club, and we believe that they will always do their best to keep the name of the Vikings Boxing Academy high,” said Phillip.
He concluded by saying that without the help of the community, the boxers will not be able to reach their full potential. “Their future is very important, so, if there is anyone out there who would be willing to help with a donation to, or sponsorship for, their budding careers, it would be much appreciated.”
