Eskom has scheduled Phases 5 to 8 load shedding, which means that residents could be without electricity for up to 17 hours per day.
However, no official announcement has been made by Eskom with the dates and areas for this scheduled load shedding.

Residents are advised to keep checking the load shedding schedules on both the Eskom and the municipal websites, and to assume that load shedding will occur.
Eskom continues to appeal to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period. Switch off geysers as well as non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand.
