Extended working hours at Home Affairs

The reason for the extended hours is to give the public enough time to visit the branch and collect their documents.

Roodepoort Home Affairs office manager, Lungile Afrika, wishes to notify resident that the office will be open on Saturday, 17 November and Saturday, 1 December.

The reason for the extended hours is the large number of identify documents (IDs) that have not been collected by applicants. Lungile urged resident to use this opportunity to collect their documents.

“We have decided to extend our office hours to give the public enough time to visit the branch and collect their documents. Our store room is full of documents that have not been collected,” Lungile said.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. On the two Saturdays, they will be open from 8am to 3.30pm.

Their offices are located at 127 Albertina Sisulu Road, Roodepoort, Johannesburg, 1724.
