The cause of the crash according to a Help24 road assistant Michael van Staden, was a motorist who hit his vehicle's brakes too hard after allegedly being blinded by the bright sunlight.

Four vehicles rear-ended each other at the intersection of CR Swart and Belladonna Roads in Wilro Park this morning, Thursday, 18 October.

The cause of the crash, according to Help24 road assistant Michael van Staden, was a motorist who hit the brakes too hard after allegedly being blinded by the bright sunlight.

A Mercedes Benz was rear-ended during the crash.

“The Polo driver braked when he realised he couldn’t see because of the sun. This resulted in a Mercedes behind him rear-ending him, followed by another two vehicles, one of which was a VW Caddy,” Michael explained.

He concluded by indicating that no-one was seriously injured at the scene.
