Lantern cricketers shine on pitch
Three learners and a teacher from Lantern School did extremely well in the recent National Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) cricket tournament.
Ethan Naidoo, Thabo Mokgabi and Keanan Padeiro were part of the Extraordinary (EO) team, while Jaco Mitton was the team manager for the fifth consecutive year.
The EO team was nominated as the Provincial team of the year. Jaco, Ethan and Thabo received an award for five years’ participation as well as selection for the Gauteng EO team.
Thabo was also selected for the South African LSEN Cricket Team that will play against an Indian team in January next year.
