UPDATE: Two killed in N1 accident

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of the truck driver, a man in his 50s, lying inside his vehicle while the body of the biker, a man in his 30s, lying beneath the truck

Two men were confirmed dead when a truck, car and motorbike collided on the N1 north-bound highway under the Ontdekkers bridge in Florida earlier this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 13:30, finding the truck against the barriers in oncoming traffic. The motorbike was found in the middle of the highway while the light motor vehicle was found on the side of the road.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of the truck driver, a man in his 50s, lying inside his vehicle while the body of the biker, a man in his 30s, lying beneath the truck.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both men had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
