Special operations yield results for Roodepoort Police

Fifty-seven arrests made

During recent special operations, which included stop-and-search duties, the Roodepoort Police arrested 57 suspects.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 65, were arrested on various charges, including drunken driving, assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, shoplifting, possession of drugs, theft, common assault (domestic violence), reckless and negligent driving, dealing in drugs, rape, intimidation and common robbery.

All suspects were charged and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station and will be appearing in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
